Please Volunteer on June 2
May 30th, 2007
Calling all residents of the Julianstown area;
Julianstown is starting to look brighter already…can you help to have it in bloom for June? All sorts of talents required!
We have 2 new shrub beds to plant up…planting is fun!
We have planted up the boxes on the bridge….help needed to install watering system, awkward job, a challenge!
We have started to clear the kerb edge on the footpath from the school down the hill..we need to continue this, slightly heavier work!
Awaiting word from Co Council re grass cutting in village…anyone with strimmer could make a big difference in an hour.
And the ever present litter…picker uppers and bags will be supplied; it’s very therapeutic pitching other people’s rubbish. Unusual finds include a cot, a pane of leaded glass and a doll’s head! Complete our collection of hub caps!
Meet up at Whitecross School, Saturday 2nd June 10.00am.
Bring spade, trowel, strimmer, barrow…anything that might help!
And remember, we always have fun! Refreshments will be provided.
